This notice explains how Teesside Man & Van uses personal information supplied through this website. It applies to quote and callback requests, as well as enquiries made by phone or WhatsApp.
Who we are and how to contact us
Teesside Man & Van is responsible for the information collected through this website. To ask a privacy question or make a request about your information, call or WhatsApp 07424 135460.
Information we collect
When you request a quote or callback, you may provide your name, phone number, email address, preferred date, pickup and drop-off details, and information about the job. We also receive the content of enquiries you send through WhatsApp, phone or email.
Why we use it
We use this information to respond to your enquiry, prepare and confirm a quote, arrange a booking, provide the requested service, and deal with related customer-service queries. The legal basis for handling information needed to provide a quote or arrange a service is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or performing a contract where a booking is made.
Who receives it
Your enquiry is handled by Teesside Man & Van. To run the website and deal with your enquiry we use a small number of service providers, who process your information on our instructions and only to provide their service to us:
- Netlify hosts this website and runs the form that receives your quote request.
- Supabase provides the database where your enquiry and any related correspondence are stored, and the private storage where any photos you send us are kept.
- Resend sends the emails we exchange with you, such as your acknowledgement, your quote and your receipt.
These providers operate infrastructure that may be located outside the United Kingdom. Where information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the transfer safeguards those providers put in place.
If you contact us through WhatsApp, that message is also processed under WhatsApp's own terms and privacy information. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for marketing purposes.
Photos you send us
If you send photos of what needs moving, they are used for one thing only: working out an accurate price and planning the job. They are stored privately, are not published anywhere on this website, and are never used for advertising or shared with anyone else.
They are kept with the enquiry they belong to and removed on the same basis as the rest of it. If you would like them deleted sooner, just ask and we will remove them.
How long we keep it
We keep information only for as long as we actually need it:
- Enquiries that do not become a job: normally up to 12 months, so we can pick up the thread if you come back to us, after which they are deleted.
- Work we have carried out: records of the job, the amount charged and the receipt are kept for 6 years, because tax and accounting rules require us to keep business records for that long.
- Correspondence: kept alongside the enquiry or job it relates to, and removed on the same basis.
Information that is no longer needed is deleted or securely disposed of. If you would like your information removed sooner, contact us and we will do so unless we are required to keep it for the reasons above.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict, or provide a copy of your personal information, and you can object to certain uses. Contact us on the number above and we will respond to your request. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Cookies and third-party services
This site does not set any cookies that require your consent, and it does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
We do keep simple statistics about how the website is used, so we can tell which pages are helpful. This is done by our own website rather than by an outside analytics company, and it is deliberately limited. We record only that an event happened: the page that was viewed, which website you arrived from (the site name only, never the full address), and whether the screen was phone, tablet or desktop sized.
We do not set cookies for this, we do not store your IP address, and we do not create any identifier for you. That means we can see that a page was viewed 40 times, but not who viewed it, and we cannot follow you from one visit to the next or across other websites. Because none of it identifies you, no consent banner is needed.
Aside from that, the site uses only the essential services needed to operate it and the quote form. If this ever changes we will update this notice, and ask for your consent where the law requires it. Links to WhatsApp take you to a third-party service, whose privacy practices apply once you leave this website.

We may update this notice when the way we handle information changes. The latest version will always be published on this page.
